Jenny Fitzgerald is an Irish artist working in oil on canvas, known for her expressive figurative paintings. Her work explores two distinct yet deeply human themes: the emotional landscape of the human condition and the lives of women throughout history. One body of work delves into raw, often unspoken emotions—grief, depression, anger, happiness and complex confusion—capturing moments of vulnerability and strength through nuanced gestures and atmosphere. In parallel, Fitzgerald creates a series centered on women in history, reimagining and honoring their stories with sensitivity and depth.
